The ZeroClamp zero point clamping system was developed for field use in rough environments. Therefore all parts are made of hardened stainless steel, other types of corrosion-protected materials.
A small number of parts, combined with a superior sealing of the robust clamping mechanism, guarantees high reliability for many years and several hundred applications.

All in all, the following can be said about the ZeroClamp zero point clamping system:
- ZeroClamp clamps with no play, thanks to cones, and precise repetition of < 5µm
- ZeroClamp has an integrated balancing function (thermal symmetry) and uses only one bolt type (no floating bolts, sword bolts, or free bolts).
- ZeroClamp has a simple and robust design (without delicate ball cages etc.) and is therefore cost-effective to produce.
- ZeroClamp opens pneumatically and clamps with spring tensioners. With its clamping design, it attains the values of hydraulic clamping systems.
- ZeroClamp is not self-locking. In the event of a breakdown, the stage can be removed with jacking screws (required force c. 25000N per clamping point in the 5bar version).
